Jocelyn Lonquist, a native of Pensacola, FL, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. She currently resides in NYC, but she frequently travels to perform in regional houses across the country.
Upon graduation, Jocelyn spent a year as a resident actor at Charleston Stage Company in South Carolina before moving to NYC. She performed in dozens of roles there, including Alice in You Can't Take It With You and Inga in Young Frankenstein.
Jocelyn recently returned to the City after playing Amalia Balash in Myers Dinner Theatre's She Loves Me, in Hillsboro, IN, where she had a ball singing about vanilla ice cream every day! Jocelyn's other recent roles include "Anybodys" in White Plains Performing Arts Center's West Side Story, and "Anne Shirley," in the national touring company of Anne of Green Gables. Last fall, Jocelyn made her off-Broadway debut as Sarabeth in Vital Theatre Company's brand-new musical, Kid Frankenstein!
When she is not performing, Jocelyn teaches music, dance, and drama in schools across New York City with Dance.Laugh.Learn. She also enjoys traveling to far-away places, visiting her dad, mom, and two sisters back home in Florida, and systematically sampling every one of Manhattan's sweet eateries.
