Soprano and Sugar Aficionado
Jocelyn Lonquist, a native of Pensacola, FL, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. She currently resides in NYC, but she frequently travels to perform in regional houses and tours across the country.
Upon graduation, Jocelyn spent a year as a resident actor at Charleston Stage Company in South Carolina before moving to NYC. She performed in dozens of roles there, including Alice in You Can't Take It With You and Inga in Young Frankenstein.
Jocelyn is currently performing at the Great American Melodrama Theatre, in Oceano, CA, where you can see her as Dracula’s sweetheart, Fannie Farmer, in the melodrama Drac in the Saddle Again. Over the summer, Jocelyn performed at the Weathervane Theatre in New Hampshire, playing Sister Mary Robert in Sister Act, Judy in White Christmas, Kitty in The Drowsy Chaperone, and Margo in Bright Star! Jocelyn’s other recent credits include the North American Tours of Charlie Brown Christmas Live, Anne of Green Gables, and A Christmas Carol, as well as regional productions of She Loves Me and West Side Story. During her time in NYC, Jocelyn made her off-Broadway debut in Vital Theatre Company's brand-new musical, Kid Frankenstein, and has performed in cabarets at 54 Below and the Duplex.
When she is not performing, Jocelyn teaches music, dance, and drama in schools across New York City with Dance.Laugh.Learn, and helps to make dreams come true as a princess with New York Princess Parties. She also enjoys traveling across the globe, visiting her dad, mom, and two sisters back home in Florida, and systematically sampling every one of Manhattan's sweet eateries.
