Jocelyn Lonquist, a native of Pensacola, FL, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. She currently resides in NYC, but she frequently travels to perform in regional houses and tours across the country.
Upon graduation, Jocelyn spent a year as a resident actor at Charleston Stage Company in South Carolina before moving to NYC. She performed in dozens of roles there, including Alice in You Can't Take It With You and Inga in Young Frankenstein.
Jocelyn recently returned to the city from the North American Tour of Charlie Brown Christmas Live, where she played Violet Gray and also was the swing for five other roles! Jocelyn's other recent credits include Amalia Balash in She Loves Me, Anybodys in White Plains Performing Arts Center's West Side Story, and Anne Shirley, in the national touring company of Anne of Green Gables. During her time in NYC, Jocelyn made her off-Broadway debut as Sarabeth in Vital Theatre Company's brand-new musical, Kid Frankenstein, and has performed in cabarets at 54 Below and the Duplex. This summer, Jocelyn will be performing at the Weathervane Theatre in New Hampshire, playing Sister Mary Robert in Sister Act, Judy in White Christmas, and Margo in Bright Star!
When she is not performing, Jocelyn teaches music, dance, and drama in schools across New York City with Dance.Laugh.Learn, and helps to make dreams come true as a princess with New York Princess Parties. She also enjoys traveling across the globe, visiting her dad, mom, and two sisters back home in Florida, and systematically sampling every one of Manhattan's sweet eateries.
